Tienji Tag

Tienji Tang ( Heavenly Weaved ) is a music project I started in 1995. At that time, I was disappointed with the music environment of Hong Kong ( sad to say I still am ) and desperately lack of work, I decided to do something different and really original ( at least in HongKong ).

The concept of Tienji Tang is to gather various talented artists to perform in my compositions. Every album will have a theme and I will select artists which is appropiate for the style of the song.

The debut album ' Rocking and Rolling ", filled with ethnic elements heavily influenced by african and reggae music, proved to be a success. The album got some very good airplay despite a lot of the themes had political undertone. The second album " Tienji Tang 2 " did pretty bad in the market although it had some good review, probably I was lost in the "be true to yourself" and "commercial" dilemma. Anyway Tieni Tang is working on it's third album and this time it will be a soundtrack for the online game OPERA. you can sample some of the music here.
