Soundcraft
DIGITAL 328
IMHO the most versatile
digital console around. Fully equiped with 16 mic and line ins,
16 digital tape returns; ADAT and TDIF I/O; two built-in Lexicon
Effects; two assignable dynamic controllers; absolute beautiful
eqs on every channels; full automation; and the best of all: This
thing can be used as a midi controller!! controlling my Steinberg
VST like a Houston, mixing my VST channels and RME HD9624 card like
a dream!
EMU SP-12
I love this drum machine,
gritty and punchy. O.S. is dated, 12 bit sampling, but it's got
this magic in it's sound. Indispensible for hip hop.
Cheaper then getting
a SP-1200 but serves the same purpose. SP-1200 doubles the sampling
memory but hey I don't use just one type of sound in my songs! So
one SP-12 is just good for me.
ARP Avatar
I remember seeing this
guitar synth while I was a kid and it was so expensive back then,
no wonder ARP went belly up developing this thing.
I never get to like guitar
synth, the time I spend learning how to track on a guitar synth
can be better spent learning how to play a real keyboard. Now I
use the Avatar as a synth module and filter section. It's got a
similar sound with an ARP Odessey. But
for this purpose it's kind of oversized...
